Rock-Tenn Co. has decided to close its laminated paperboard products facility in Wright City, Mo., effective immediately.
Additionally, Rock-Tenn is currently conducting an appraisal to assess the goodwill associated with its Laminated Paperboard Products division.
James Rubright, chairman and CEO, stated, "The continued contraction of the market for laminated paperboard products has made it impractical to continue our operations in Wright City. The company will continue to operate its low cost, higher volume facilities in Columbus, Ind. and Aurora, Ill."
