Rock-Tenn announced that it is closing Otsego, Mich., paperboard mill. The mill has an annual capacity of 106,000 tons, which primarily served Rock-Tenn's book and binder and laminated furniture components converting plants.
Rock-Tenn Company expects to transfer approximately 35,000 tons of the Otsego mill's production to its other paperboard mills.
Earlier this year Rock-Tenn announced the closure of its Wright City, Mo., laminated paperboard products facility. Last month the company announced the closure of select converting lines in its Aurora, Ill., facility. Both the Wright City facility and the closed Aurora converting lines had sourced paperboard from the Otsego mill.
