Rock-Tenn Announces Paperboard Price Increase

Paper company cites higher gas prices as key reason for hike.

Rock-Tenn Co.'s paperboard division announced a $30 per ton price increase on all clay coated recycled newsback grades effective with shipments on December 1, 2004. "Our previous increases were cost recovery increases," said David Dreilbelbis, executive vice president and general manager. "Since we announced those increases, natural gas and oil prices have continued to rise to unprecedented levels.
