Rock-Tenn Announces Paperboard Price Increase

Paper company bumping prices next month.

Rock-Tenn Co. announced that it is increasing the price on all recycled coated and uncoated paperboard by $50 per ton. This increase will become effective with shipments on April 12.

 

David Dreibelbis, Rock-Tenn’s executive vice president and general manager, stated, "The continuing high cost of energy combined with the escalating costs of recovered fiber and freight, as well as other sustained operating cost increases, make this price increase necessary at this time. Our sales representatives will be contacting our customers this week."
