Roanoke Electric Steel Corp. reported record net earnings for the fourth quarter of $15.0 million, compared to earnings of $700,735 in the fourth quarter last year. Sales for the quarter were a record $143.728 million, up 57 percent from sales of $91.6 million for the same period last year.
For the fiscal year, the company reported record net earnings of $30.446 million, compared to a net loss of $3.224 million for fiscal 2003.
