Baltimore-based Roadnet Technologies, an Omnitracs company specializing in transportation logistics software, has launched Roadnet Transportation Suite version 3.7.2. This latest version of its on premise vehicle routing, scheduling, tracking, mobile workforce and fleet management platform features new capabilities, such as enriched data integration and improved route planning intelligence, while making daily use easier with a more user-friendly experience, according to the company.
Roadnet Transportation says Suite 3.7.2 provides enhanced integration with the Roadnet Anywhere SaaS platform.
Kevin Haugh, general manager of Roadnet Technologies, says, “One of our major objectives is to allow customers to leverage our SaaS platform where desired and appropriate. This latest release creates bidirectional integration between Territory Planner and Roadnet Anywhere’s powerful dispatching tools.”
He continues, “Territory Planner customers can now push route plans to the cloud, dispatch and manage those routes in real time. Information gleaned from dispatch such as improved geocodes and service times can also be pushed back into Territory Planner, providing better and more accurate data for planning the next day’s routes.”
Roadnet says the company continues to enhance its mobile capabilities in this latest release by enhancing support on iOS, including improved communication between the driver and dispatch. The upgraded suite also provides significant improvements to its routing capabilities to better support certain industries. This includes enhancements around compartment routing used heavily by the fuel, oil and gas, and bulk liquid industries.
“Our commitment to delivering intuitive and productivity-rich software tools is represented in the latest upgrades to the Roadnet Transportation Suite,” says Cyndi Brandt, senior director of product marketing and alliances for Roadnet Technologies. “Drivers are being asked to manage a multitude of tasks that extend beyond the cab of the truck while providing outstanding customer service. These significant enhancements provide more support to drivers to ensure that they can efficiently handle multiple tasks without having to compromise service.”
Roadnet Technologies is a division of Omnitracs, a provider of fleet management, routing and predictive analytics products and services for private and for-hire fleets.
