Riverside Manufacturing LLC, Fort Wayne, Indiana, has announced the release of the TouchTek Gen 4, a power distribution system that provides control over vehicle electrical loads.
The TouchTek Gen 4 maintains the same functionality as the model before it, the Gen 3, at an even more competitive price point, according to the company. In addition, the power distribution unit is half of its predecessor’s size, which gives users mounting flexibility in the ever-crowded work truck.
“The evolution of this product is the direct result of us listening to and focusing on the needs of our customers,” says David Rednour, vice president of sales of Riverside. “They wanted all of the Gen 3 capability in a smaller package and at an even more competitive price point—and we’re excited to deliver to them a product that offers exactly that.”
Additional features of the TouchTek Gen 4 include a backlit switch panel with the ability to insert function-specific labels, as well as six outputs that boast 20 amps of current handling capacity each.
Designed for work truck environments, the TouchTek has an operating temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees Celsius, operating voltage range of 8 to 16 VDC (voltage direct current), reverse polarity protection, back feed protection and under/over voltage protection. Users can implement neutral and brake interlocks using the two contingent outputs, making the system even more intelligent, says Riverside.
Riverside Manufacturing specializes in designing and manufacturing electrical systems and products for harsh environment vehicles and equipment. For more than 60 years, the company has collaborated on custom electronic designs, manufacturing electrical products and building to print.
