The Recycling Industry Operating Standard (RIOS) will host a two-day training opportunity to help recyclers effectively implement a management system in their facilities. The training is open to facilities that are already certified or exploring certification options.
Industry experts will provide guidance and helpful strategies for recycling facilities of every commodity and in every stage of certification, RIOS says. The last section of training will focus on the nuances of the RIOS management system.
RIOS, which was developed by the Washington-based Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), is an integrated quality, environment, health and safety (QEHS) management system certification that is designed for recyclers by recyclers.
The training will take place on Nov. 13-14 at the ISRI offices in Washington.
