After a three-year stint as managing director, Bernd Roth is leaving RIGK, Wiesbaden, Germany, to go into retirement according to a company news release.
“During his term of office, the geographic expansion of the company was commenced as part of the RIGK Future Project with RIGK S.R.L. in Romania,” notes the packaging recycling company in its news release. RIGK’s service areas through the RIGK Pickup System were expanded during Roth’s tenure, and the recovery of plastic packaging was expanded in 2010 to include stretch film through the PELLE-Service division.
The RIGK executive board has appointed Markus Dambeck (pictured at right) as the new managing director effective July 1, 2010. Dambeck has been an employee of RIGK since the company was founded in 1992 and was most recently responsible for the management of the operating systems. Dambeck also has been the managing director of SC RIGK S.R.L in Romania for two years.
RIGK provides containers and collection services to German commercial and industrial accounts so they can comply with the country’s packaging recycling directives. More information about the company can be found at www. rigk.de/index_UK.html.
