Aleris International Inc., Cleveland, has announced that Richard Wagoner, former chairman and CEO of General Motors Corp., has been elected to its board of directors as well as to the board of directors of Aleris Holding Co., Aleris' parent company.
Aleris Holding Co. is majority owned by investment funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management L.P. and its subsidiaries.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Rick to the Aleris board," says Steven Demetriou, Aleris chairman and CEO. "He brings a wealth of expertise that will be invaluable to Aleris as we continue to strengthen our company and grow."
Aleris is a producer of aluminum rolled and extruded products, recycled aluminum and specifications alloys.
