It is the intent of the city of Madison, Wis., to accept and evaluate proposals for the processing of recyclable materials collected by the city from its curbside recycling program.
The city of Madison has operated a curbside recycling program since 1968. The program was expanded in Feb. 1991. The city’s collection program is administered by the Streets Division and serves about 66,000 households.
The Streets Division collects material commingled in two-compartment vehicles. One compartment is used for paper fiber, the other for containers. Containers are collected in 30 gallon, clear plastic bags.
The city of Madison’s current contract for MRF services expires on Dec. 31, 2005. We are seeking proposals for the period beginning Jan. 1, 2006 and running for a period of up to 10 years.

Description: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items or services necessary to perform Refuse/Recycling collection and disposal in family housing areas and refuse collection in industrial areas at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington.
A requirements type contract will result from this solicitation. The performance period will be for a one-year basic period, with an anticipated start date of 01 October 2003, and 4 one-year option periods.
This requirement is a competitive hub-zone small business set aside. The solicitation will be issued on or about 3 July 03. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package.
The successful offeror must have a permit issued by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Committee (WUTC) in order to be determined a responsible contractor and eligible for contract award. Waste Management Company is currently the only company possessing a permit from the WUTC for the geographic area covering Fairchild Air Force Base.
The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) website at http://www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package.
The acquisition will be solicited in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Commercial Acquisition) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures) utilizing performance price tradeoff (PPT) evaluation criteria. Description: The Program Support Center, Administrative Operations Service, Division of Property Management intends to award a contract to provide solid waste removal and disposal services for the Parklawn Building and Personal Property Facility, located in the National Capitol Region.
The base year will run for twelve consecutive months from the date of award with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a indefinite delivery requirements type contract with firm fixed per pull fees and fixed monthly equipment rental fees. All services provided must be in accordance with applicable solid waste disposal codes and regulations.
