Description: The contractor shall provide labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and transportation necessary for pick-up, removal, and delivery of recyclable refrigerators and televisions, further referred to as scrap properties, listed in Appendix A of the Statement of Work, stored at the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, to an approved Government of Japan licensed recycler.
This solicitation is open only to those prospective offerors authorized to perform work in the country of Japan.

Description: Work under this project consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, material and incidentals necessary for the removal and proper disposal/recycle of non-hazardous solid waste from a tract of land approximately 2 acres in size. This requirement includes the demolition of three small wood frame structures and the removal of waste oil and oil filters in accordance with the Scope of Work. The project site is located in Lawton, Oklahoma; Comanche County. The estimated cost of for this construction project is between $25,000 -$100,000.

Description: The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD requires a firm-fixed price, requirements contract, for the hazardous chemical waste disposal at the USUHS for one base year and four option years.
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to safely, completely, and efficiently handle, package, label, and placard hazardous waste from the Bethesda and Rockville, Maryland sites and transport to a specifically identified Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved or permitted treatment storage/disposal facility.
USUHS does not own or operate an EPA-permitted Treatment, Storage or Disposal Facility, but instead is a large-quantity generator of hazardous/acutely-hazardous wastes with its own Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Generator ID Number. USUHS is a medical school that includes several multi-disciplinary research laboratories, which has hazardous, acutely hazardous and regulated wastes which generally consist of excess/surplus/spent laboratory chemicals (usually in small quantities ranging from grains/milliliters up to one gallon or five liter bottles) and bulk waste solvents/oils from laboratories or support service units (usually in containers of one gallon, five gallon, ten gallon, and fifty-five gallon volumes). Chemical waste, spent and unspent chemicals include, but are not necessarily limited to: 1) Halogenated hydrocarbons and derivatives (such as trichloroethylene, dichloromethane, chloroform, 2-bromo ethanol, chlorobenzene, tetrachloroethylene, typically exceeding 50% by volume halogenated hydrocarbons; 2) Nonhalogenated hydrocarbons and derivatives (such as methanol, ethanol, acetone, cyclohexane, acetonitrile, toluene, benzene, tetrahydrofuran, typically less than 10% by volume halogenated hydrocarbons); 3) Chromic acid/sulfuric acid (laboratory glassware cleaning solutions); 4) Degreasing solutions; 5) Concentrated/dilute inorganic acids (such as hydrochloric, hydrobromic, hydrofluoric, nitric, sulfuric, perchloric acids); 6) Concentrated/dilute organic acids and derivatives (such as acetic and formic acids); 7) Concentrated/dilute organic bases (such as ammonium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, sodium hydroxide); 8) Concentrated/dilute organic bases and derivatives (such as aniline, dimethylamine); 9) Mercury-contaminated items/articles (e.g. broken thermometers, glass; 10) Paint shop wastes (mixtures of paint thinners, varsol and paint, and paint pigments); 11) Batteries, nickel-cadmium, lithium, mercury (lead is recycled); 12) Compressed gas cylinders (hazardous, regulated, and no regulated); 13) Used oils; 14) Labpack chemicals, USUHS user-generated chemicals and trade name chemicals (i.e. organics/inorganics and derivatives, consisting of flammable liquids and solids, reactives/explosives, oxidizers, corrosives, poisons). This requirement is 100% HUBZone small business set-aside.

Description: The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to award, on a sole source basis a purchase order to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) to develop an Environmental Impact Study related to the potential harmful effects caused by the importation/exportation of radio active scrap metal at port of entries and border crossings around the world.
The Authority for this procurement is FAR Part 6.302-1, UNECE is the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The period of performance shall commence on the date of receipt of the purchase order through April 30, 2004. Anticipated award date is May 12, 2003. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date of this synopsis.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
