Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F1390022460200 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09.
This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 333319 with a 500-employee size standard. Contractors shall submit a lump sum proposal for all labor and materials included in this project. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
1 each Kruncher, Model RS5-3590 or equal, by Enviro-care of Canada. This unit crushes nearly all the oil from used filters and creates two recyclable products, waste oil and steel bricks. The capacity is 2, fifty five gallon drums per hour, 10 hp 220v motor, dimensions 90? x 59? x 57.5 and stands 9 feet high with hood open and weighs 3500 lbs. Unit contains a power hood lift, automatic waste pump, a magnetic separator, automated operation, computer controlled, and has multi axis compaction.
Price should include freight to Charleston AFB SC. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award.

Description: Contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, materials and supervision necessary to provide trash/refuse removal and recycling services for the VA Medical Center, Asheville, N.C. for the period commencing October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003.
Contract will include one(1) option year. Solicitation will be available on September 10, 2002 and due on September 27, 2002. Description: The contractor shall provide recycling services for wood and related products generated and delivered by various Navy installations within Command Navy Region Northwest (CNRNW).
The contractor shall accept and process wood and related recyclable materials delivered to the contractor's facility by the Government. An evaluation factor will be utilized to evaluate the best value to the government based on the cost per mile from the Government's facility.
The estimated volume is 400 tons per year. This volume will include, but shall not be limited to, wood dunnage, sawdust, land-clearing debris, dirt (non-petroleum contaminated), sod, green waste, leaves and grass. The contractor shall be in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws or regulations related to recycling operations.
The contractor's facility shall not be located more than 45 minutes from the CNRNW facilities (zip code 98315). A monthly report shall be required giving a synopsis of the daily activity of the contract. The period of performance shall be a base year with four option years starting 01 Oct 02 or date of award whichever is later. FOB point contractor's facility. Single award for all items. This will be a web-posted solicitation.
The solicitation will be posted to NECO website: Http://www.neco.navy.mil. No hard-copy solicitation or amendment documents will be distributed by the Government. The Government will not mail, or fax, the solicitation or any amendment thereto. Subsequent amendments to the solicitation, if any, will be promulgated ONLY via the NECO website.
