Description: Provide Recycling and Solid Waste Management Services for the industrial and family housing areas at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. Contract requires the operation of an on-base recycling collection facility. A requirements type contract will result from this solicitation.

The performance period will be for a one-year basic period, with an anticipated start date of 01 Oct 2002, and four (4) one-year option periods. This requirement is a HUBZone competitive set aside. The solicitation will be issued on or about 01 Jun 02. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package.

The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) website at http://www.fedbusops.gov. No paper copies will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. Waste Reduction Assistance Project

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Waste Programs Division, Recycling Program, is seeking proposals from private enterprise, political subdivisions and non-profit entities for its Waste Reduction Assistance project.

The objective of the program is to assist in providing recycling opportunities to all Arizonians, in addition to providing funding assistance to projects that divert significant amounts of materials from the solid waste stream or are a component of a comprehensive program designed to achieve high diversion levels.

Projects eligible for funding must focus on one of the following:

Recycling Collection Programs

Household Hazardous Waste

Material Recovery Facility

Electronics and/or Appliances Recycling

Copies of the RFP, No. EV03-0001, will be available after May 16. To obtain a copy, interested parties must do one of the following: request via e-mail to the solicitation_coordinator@ev.state.az.us; fax a request to (602) 207-4439; send a written request to Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Procurement Sectin, 3033 North Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85012; or pick up a copy from the ADEQ at the above address.

The ADEQ has a second RFP with the objective of developing tools and ideas to create knowledge that will help divert significant amounts of material from the solid waste stream in the future.
