Description: The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Jacksonville Florida, requires a contract for the pickup and recycling of various size spent mercury lamps and devices.

The contractor shall pick-up spent mercury-containing lamps and devices form various activities every 60 days,(of as needed so that accumulation limits are not exceeded), and transport to their recycling facility in compliance with all applicable, federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

The period of performance will be for base year and four, one-year options. The NAICS Code is 541620 with a size standard of $5.0M. This requirement will be advertised as a small business set-aside.

Trash Hauling

Description: Provide labor and material to pick-up and haul trash to landfill or incinerator site. VAMC, Minneapolis, MN owns a 42-yard trash container with pick up every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday plus limited on-demand calls. Trash hauling is also required from additional buildings on campus and buildings at Fort Snelling. Fort Snelling National Cemetery requires that successful contractor furnish 30 yard dumpster.

Solicitation includes hauling and recycling of glass, bi-metal cans, and plastics, from VA Medical Center, Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building, Fort Snelling National Cemetery and Hennepin County Courthouses. Contract period is from October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003 with two one year renewal options.

Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. NAICS code 562111 applies, with a small business classification of $10.5 million. Issuance is limited to known firms on file and first 20 firms responding to BOS ad.
