Description: The National Park Service, Catoctin Mountain Park, Thurmont, MD is soliciting proposals for all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, plan, schedule, coordination and assurance of effective and economical completion contract actions necessary to collect and properly dispose of solid waste and recycling service at Catoctin Mountain Park and Naval support Facility, Thurmont, MD. The solicitation package is tentatively scheduled for release on or about September 19, 2006, and will specify a closing date for receipt of offers.

A pre-proposal conference date will be listed on the solicitation. The solicitation and attachments will be posted online on the Dept. of the Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website; http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is mandatory that all contractors register in the Central Contractor Registration database (www.ccr.gov) prior to award. A hard copy of the solicitation may be requested in writing from Catoctin Mountain Park, 6602 Foxville Road, Thurmont, MD 21788-1598, Attention: Contracting Officer; by fax at 301-663-9447, Attention: Contracting Officer, or by email at: brenda_thompson@nps.gov. Contract period: October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007. This is an option year contract (base year with 4 option years). A competitive evaluation of proposal or offers based on price, past performance and the technical qualifications should result in the best value procurement.
