Description: The 21st Contracting Squadron, Infrastructure Flight, is issuing this sources sought/market research synopsis to invite all interested parties to submit capability statements and market research information on Base Refuse Collection and Recycling Services.    

 

The contractor will be responsible to provide all management, supplies, equipment, transportation, and labor for refuse collection and recycling services at Peterson AFB and Cheyenne Mountain AFS.    

 

The magnitude of this effort is approximately: 1-40 cubic yard portable trash compactor to be emptied approximately 52 times a year, 10-30 cubic yard gondolas to be emptied approximately a total of 400 times a year, 1 additional 30 cubic yard gondola located at the Base Commissary to be emptied 6 times per week, 1-10 cubic yard open-top container for asphalt debris and emptied approximately 30 times a year, 2-30 cubic yard gondolas that are source separated for collecting miscellaneous recyclables and may need to be emptied for a total of 60 times a year, and 2-40 cubic yard compactors for cardboard recycling collection and anticipate being emptied 200 times total each year.    

 

Peterson AFB Base Bulk refuse collection containers range in size from 6-8 cubic yards per station with pick-up frequency ranging from 1-6 times per week with an estimated total of 2,100 cubic yards per week.    

 

The Small Containers refuse collection range in size from 15-32 gallons per container with pick-up frequency of twice per week and an estimated weekly total of 950 gallons per week.    

 

The Cardboard Recycling containers range in size from 6-12 cubic yards per container with a pick-up frequency of 1-2 times per week and an estimated weekly total of 230 cubic yards.    

 

Cheyenne Mountain AFS Refuse Containers range in size from 3-6 cubic yards per container with a pick-up frequency of 3 times per week and an estimated weekly total of 160 cubic yards per week.    

 

Peterson AFB Military Family Housing will have 758-90 gallon brown, wheeled, mobile toters for refuse and 439 containers/toters for recyclable materials.     Refuse pick-up will be on a weekly basis and recycle pick-up will be on a bi-weekly basis.    

 

Offerors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirement are encouraged to submit information contributing to this sources sought/market survey.
