Description: The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for recycling and disposal services for used fluorescent bulbs and electromagnetic ballasts generated by SSA’s buildings located at 6401 Security Blvd., 6201 Security Blvd., and 300 N. Greene St., Baltimore, Maryland.
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to safely remove, handle, transport, process and recycle all used fluorescent bulbs and to safely remove, handle, transport and dispose of electromagnetic ballasts. The period of performance shall be for a one year base period with four 1-year options.
The proposed method of acquisition considered is a small business set-aside. Solicitation SSA-RFQ-04-0161 will be available on the website on or about March 8, 2004. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.3, Simplified Acquisition Methods.
