Description: This procurement is for the purchase of all recyclable materials from specified locations in the Cleveland, Akron & Broadview Heights, Ohio area. This procurement is open to all business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111. This will be a one (1) year contract with four (4) one-year options. The solicitation will be issued on/about August 29, 2003. The solicitation includes Sensitive But Unclassified building information and will not be available on FedBizOpps. In order to obtain the solicitation, requestors must complete the Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidder/Offerors form and include a copy of their business license.

Description: The contractor shall perform solid waste collection and disposal for approximately 1,347 military family housing units and 137 industrial collection points at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. A requirements type contract will result from this solicitation. The performance period will be for a 9-month basic period, with an anticipated start date of 01 Jan 2004, and 4 one-year option periods. Foreign contractors are restricted from participating in this acquisition as prime contractor. In accordance with FAR 6.302-5, this requirement is exempt from competition as authorized or required by statute. Waste Management holds an exclusive franchise agreement with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission for the geographic area of Fairchild AFB; therefore, as mandated by the Resource Recovery and Conservation Act, a required source for this requirement. A subcontracting plan is required in this acquisition. The solicitation will be issued on or about 3 Oct 2003. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package.
