Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a glass recycling system to be procured in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F33601-03-T-0219 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). No hard copies will be sent. This proposed acquisition is 100% Set aside for small business.
This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-14. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332998. The small business size standard is 500 Employees.
The RFQ has one (1) line item: Glass aggregating (recycling) system with 1 ton per hour, 3/16? screen; 2+ long x 14" diameter trommel; 12" x 16+ cleated slide belt conveyor with attached 3/4 cubic yard hopper; electrical control panel with 208/230/460 voltage and e-stop circuitry; industrial construction high air velocity dust collector with 2 HP motor, 208/230/460V. The requirements for this item are attached. FOB point is Destination (Wright- Patterson AFB OH 45433). Quoted prices should be delivered (FOB Destination) prices. A technical description of the items being offered must be submitted in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the minimum requirements.
The contracting officer is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the quote. Include manufacturer’s name, model number, and specifications in your quote. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items. Evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of provision 52.212-2 are as follows: Evaluation of quotes and subsequent award will be based upon best value to the government considering cost and technical acceptability. A technical description of the items being offered must be submitted in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements.
Offerors must complete the fill-ins at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be completed and submitted with quotation. A copy is attached for your convenience. Description: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requires on-site trash collection, disposal and cardboard recycling at 325 Broadway, Boulder CO and the Table Mountain Field Site, Building F6 (located 7.5 miles north of Boulder on Route 36).
Services are required for the period beginning October 1, 2003 with option to renew for two one-year terms. The NAICS code is 562111. The small business size standard is $10.5 million. Interested sources may request a copy of the RFQ either by fax, phone or email.
Telephone requests will not be honored. The RFQ package will be issued on or about 08/25/2003. Quotes must be received by September 8, 2003. An award decision, based upon past performance and price, is anticipated on or before September 20, 2003.
