Description: This Is A Small Business Set-Aside Requirement. Kaho`olawe is about 6 miles from the island of Maui. Parsons-UXB was selected by the U. S. Navy to provide clearance of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) and environmental restoration which will allow for the reasonably safe use of the identified priority areas of the Kaho`olawe Island Reserve.

Parsons-UXB Joint Venture (Parsons-UXB) currently has a requirement to process and dispose of 26,000 to 36,000 tires collected on Kaho`olawe Island Reserve.

The recycling company will be responsible to transport these tires from "dockside" location(s) on Oahu to the recycler's facility for processing and final disposal.

Description: Market Research Sources Sought - The 45th Space Wing is performing market research (FAR Subpart10 (a)(3)(v)) and is seeking sources capable of providing products and services that contain recycled content items as designated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines (CPG) and the Recovered Materials Advisory Notices (RMAN).

In accordance with Executive Order (EO) 13101, Greening the Government Through Waste Prevention, Recycling and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires Federal agencies to purchase environmentally preferable products where possible. This program is known as Affirmative Procurement.

Respondents should provide information regarding their firm's capability and product or service literature containing adequate information to allow an analysis of the product or services suitability to satisfy these requirements not later than 45 days after the date of this notice.

Description: Sources Sought. The 377 CONS/LGCA is seeking sources capable of and interested in providing recycling services at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The goal of this program is to provide at no-cost to the Government all management, supervision, labor, materials an d equipment to collect, transport, and deliver all recyclable paper to include high grade white paper, shredded paper and newspaper from various locations on- base to an on-base Solid Waste Transfer Facility (SWTF).

Disposition of all non-paper materials is the responsibility of the Contractor. Non -paper materials not transported and delivered to the SWTF consist of toner cartridges, aluminum, and assorted scrap metals including expended brass. The contractor shall collect and recycle toner cartridges, aluminum cans and various scrap metals to include steel, brass, aluminum, copper and other metals generated by KAFB. No appropriated or non-appropriated funds shall be used.

Any money received by the contractor in exchange for toner cartridges, aluminum, and assorted scrap metals including expended brass shall constitute complete consideration in exchange for the collection, transportation and delivery services for all paper materials and non- paper materials.

The Contractor shall provide two roll-offs at the Kirtland Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) and one roll-off at the KAFB landfill for collection of scrap metals. The contractor shall perform collection services between the hours of 0730 and 1600 hours, Monday through Friday. The contractor is required to report the tonnage of recyclables collected and transported as well as track the number of recyclable paper containers picked up at approximately125 designated sites. A permanent recyclable paper collection bin is in place at each site and is to be picked up when full.

There is no guarantee that this will develop into a contract opportunity.
