The Veterans Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 Network Business Center intends to solicit offers for the sale of government property (scrap metal) under the authority of 41 CFR 101.

Historically, VISN 22 has disposed about 607,000 pounds of scrap metal a year. The solicitation is for three separate VA Medical Centers located in Long Beach, San Diego and Loma Linda (including Riverside) California. VA Long Beach disposes about 266,000 pounds of scrap metal a year, VA San Diego disposes about 325,000 pounds a year, and VA Loma Linda disposes about 16,000 pounds a year.

However, this is not a guarantee for a minimum or a maximum amount to be disposed of during the performance period. Interested parties will be required to furnish the management, supervision, labor, equipment, supplies and materials (including scrap metal containers located in various collection points), and shall plan, schedule and coordinate the removal of scrap metal from one or multiple VA Medical Centers. The Government reserves the right to enter into multiple agreements for a period of one (1) year, with four (4) one-year option periods.
