The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will serve as the host for the 2009 Reverse Logistics Conference and Expo. The event takes place from Tuesday, February 3 through Thursday, February 5.
Event organizer the Reverse Logistics Association bills the event as an opportunity to “network with a worldwide community of professionals dedicated to reverse logistics and the aftermarket supply chain.”
The event’s Expo portion features exhibitors including third-party logistics service providers (3PSPs), both hardware and software companies and other companies involved in product returns and investment recovery.
“The event features workshops and conference [sessions] highlighting topics relevant to service, logistics and warranty management,” says an RLA news release.
Participants and speakers include reverse logistics professionals from OEMs, retailers and the 3PSP sectors.
The keynote address on Feb. 4 is from Kevin Winneroski, the vice president of secondary markets for national retailer Best Buy. Winneroski is responsible for Best Buy’s end-of-life, closeout, and returned/refurbished products. His presentation is entitled, “Reverse Logistics: It's Not a Challenge, It’s An Opportunity.”
The keynote address on Feb. 5 is from William K. Pollock, vice president and principal analyst of the Strategic Service Management Practice of the Aberdeen Group. He’ll offer an industry analyst’s view on the state of the reverse logistics industry.
