ReRubber hosts grand opening

Facility will provide a hub for new technology development through its research and development center.

California based reRubber held the grand opening of its 60,000-square-foot green-tech manufacturing facility and research and development center in San Bernardino, California, Sept. 15, 2016. This reRubber location will not only manufacture products from end-of-life tires but also will provide a hub for new technology development through the use of its research and development center.

ReRubber says it will begin operations at the facility by manufacturing environmentally friendly coatings and sealants. In addition, the aim of this facility is to bring together various green technologies already in existence and to incubate new technologies to create higher value products from a scrap material.

JD Wang, CEO of reRubber LLC, says, “Our goal is to make the technology and product development cycle more seamless and help partners reach their goals without the heavy demands of starting without a supportive supply chain.”

He says the company’s recycling facility in Ontario, California, will supply the recycled fine rubber powder from scrap tires to the new facility at San Bernardino.

ReRubber says the opening of its San Bernardino facility, which is located at 115 N. Del Rosa Dr. at the San Bernardino International Airport, will bring green technology jobs and partnerships to the region.

The new facility was located at in cooperation with the Inland Valley Development Agency, San Bernardino.
