The purpose of this contract is to destroy sensitive material in a timely manner and to the Department of Defense Standards. Types of media to be destroyed may include the following: paper, cds, memory cards, and dvds. The Contractor shall provide the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) a monthly manifest of destruction containing a list of all shredder containers located in the hospital and in outlying buildings that confirm destruction of shredder materials. Contractor shall also report any containers containing trash or any other foreign objects that are not shredding media to the COR. The Contractor shall provide the COR with keys to unlock all shredder containers. Locks shall not be changed without approval from the COR. The Contractor shall provide a single point of contact (POC) for any issues regarding the pick up and delivery of shredding containers located throughout the hospital and outlying buildings. Upon entering or departing WBAMC and outlying buildings, the contractor shall physically communicate with the COR or his alternate. During normal duty hours 0730 through 1630, Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays. After duty hours, the contractor shall call the COR. Invoicing and receiving reports will be accomplished through wide area work flow (WAWF). The following FAR clauses and provisions apply to this RFP. The Office of the Secretary of State is requesting bids from qualified vendors for the purchase of 200 crosscut shredders.

The solicitation package consists of the following sections:

1) "Instructions for Submitting Offers." This section advises what you need to know and do when preparing and submitting an offer to us. It also tells how we will evaluate your offer. The first page of the Instructions, the "Custom Page" will provide dates, locations and other information specific to this solicitation. For our purposes, "Offer" is the term used to mean the response to an Invitation for Bids, or Request for Proposals and may sometimes be called a "bid" or "proposal".

2) "Solicitation Response Forms." We have presented our needs in the form of a proposed "Contract for Supplies and/or Services" which shows the specifications, how the offer must be priced, contract terms and other requirements. In addition, you must provide information about your company requested in the "Vendor Prequalification" section, including certain conflict of interest disclosures.
