Transport And Arrange For Recycling Of Electronic Waste

The intent of these specifications is to obtain a price for the sale of Hennepin County’s (the "County" or "Hennepin County") service to collect, transport and arrange for the recycling of covered electronic devices (CEDs) during the period of January 1, 2008 through March 31, 2008.

Universal E-Waste Recycling Services

City of Danville, Va.

The city is seeking proposals for comprehensive E-Waste recycling services which utilize state of the art processes for end-of-life solutions for unwanted electronics, fluorescent lamps, batteries, ballasts, mercury devices, and etc.

1. The successful proposal will implement a clear approach to the following hierarchy:

A. Reuse

• Resale of functional end-of-life electronics

• Donation of functional end-of-life electronics

B. Recycle

• Demanufacturing to component parts

• Refinement to individual raw material commodities

C. Physical Destruction

• Landfill disposal when necessary and permitted

2. The E-Waste stream will be generated from the local community via a Public Works operated drop-off site or the department’s Refuse Collection crews. Volume is unknown at this time.

3. Transportation, packaging, frequency, and distance from Danville should all be addressed.

4. Agreement is anticipated to be for one year, with three one-year extensions.

5. Proposal selection will be evaluated on, but not limited to the following items:

• Maximizing value of depreciated electronic assets

• "Green" Zero-Waste-To-Landfill policy

• Data destruction policy for reused items

• Years of experience

• Compliance with D.E.Q. and E.P.A. Environmental Management Standards, Policies, Regulations, and Privacy Regulations.

• Compliance with R.C.R.A. and Hazardous Waste Regulations.

• Pollution and Liability insurance

• Recycling volume records

6. The City welcomes alternate proposals for E-Waste services.

Statewide Document Destruction, Shredding and Recycling Services

State of Nevada

The State of Nevada, Purchasing Division is requesting proposals from qualified vendors for document destruction, shredding and recycling services statewide.

The State may award one or more contracts in conjunction with this RFP, as determined by the vendor’s geographic service location and in the best interest of the State. Therefore, vendors are encouraged to be as specific as possible in their proposals about their services provided, geographic locations, and prices.

The awarded vendor(s) shall provide services to all Nevada state agencies statewide. State Boards and Commissions, the Legislative and Judicial Branches, the University and Community College System of Nevada, political subdivisions and school districts may also use a resultant contract; however, they are not required to do so. Purchase of services offered through a resultant contract will be at the sole discretion of the individual entities and usage or volumes cannot be guaranteed by the State.

The contract resulting from this RFP will be a four (4) year period, beginning September 1, 2008, subject to Board of Examiners Approval. The Department of Administration, Purchasing Division will monitor a resultant contract(s).
