Curbside Recycling

City of Asheville, North Carolina

The City of Asheville Public Works Department is requesting sealed Bids for curbside recycling collection programs and related services for the city. Bids will be received by the Public Works Director/designee at 161 South Charlotte, Street, Asheville, NC until 4:00 p.m. EST on May 12, 2009.

Bid proposal forms, instructions, specifications may be obtained, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. by calling Phone (828) 259-5857.

Mandatory Conference: A mandatory pre-proposal conference will be conducted on April 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. EST, in conference room A203 of the City of Asheville Public Works Department, located at 161 South Charlotte Street, Asheville, North Carolina.

The City is committed to providing minorities equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of contracting. The City of Asheville has adopted a Minority Business Plan to encourage participation by minority businesses in the award of contracts. Bidders are hereby notified that this bid is subject to the provisions of that Plan. Bidders should provide a written statement of their intentions to perform minority business outreach with or without subcontracting and if they will be subcontracting, what are the bidder’s good faith efforts in response to this RFP. Container Rental, Confidential Paper Shredding, and Recycling Services

Larimer County, Colorado

It is the intent of Larimer County Facilities Department to contract with a single vendor to provide, container rental, container pick-up services, confidential paper shredding, and recycling services for co-mingle/single stream trash. Pick-up services are needed at various Larimer County office’s located in Fort Collins, and Loveland.

This bid is broken down into three categories, #1 Container Rental, #2 Pick-up/Shredding Services /Disposal for confidential office paper, and #3 pick up and recycling of co-mingle/single stream items and disposal. The quantities listed for number of containers, office paper, and co-mingle/single stream recyclable items on the Bid Schedule are estimates only.

Carnegie SVRA Refuse Disposal

California Department of Parks & Recreation

1. The contractor will provide one (1) thirty (30) yard metal dumpster to be located behind the Carnegie Maintenance Shop located at, 18600 Corral Hollow Road, Tracy, CA 95376, San Joaquin County. The full Dumpster will be picked up and empty dumpster's left in their place on a "will-call" basis. The contractor will be notified by a State representative when dumpsters are full and the contractor will empty the full dumpster within 72 hours. The State estimates that there will be forty to forty-five (40-45) pickups annually (52 week period).

2. The contractor will provide two (2), five (5) or four (4) yard metal dumpster for white paper and card board recycling. Dumpster are to be located at 15751 Tesla Road Livermore, Ca. 94550 The full dumpster will be picked up and empty dumpster left in it's place on a "will-call" basis. The contractor will be notified by a State representative when dumpster is full and the contractor will empty the full dumpster within 72 hours. The State estimates that there will be sixteen - eighteen (16-18) total dumpster pickups annually. (52 week period)

3. The contractor will provide one (1) four or five (4-5) yard metal dumpster for white paper recycling. Dumpster will be placed at entrance or Ranger station located at 18600 Corral Hollow Road Tracy, Ca. The contractor will be notified by State representative (will call basis) when dumpster is full, contractor will empty full dumpster and leave empty dumpster in its place. The State estimates eight – ten (8-10) dumpster pickups annually. (52 week period)

4. The contractor will provide one (1) ten (10) yard metal dumpster's for recycling to be located in the Carnegie Maintenance Shop fenced area at, 18600 Corral Hollow Road, Tracy, CA 95376, San Joaquin County. The ten (10) yard metal dumpster is for metal recycling. The full dumpster will be picked up and empty dumpster left in place on a "will-call" basis. The contractor will be notified by a State representative when dumpsters are full and the contractor will empty the full dumpster within 72 hours. The State estimates that there will be twelve to fourteen (12-14) dumpster pickups annually. (52 week period)

5. The contractor will provide one (1) five (5) or four (4) yard metal dumpster for tire removal Ninety-five (95) percent of the tires will be motorcycle tires. Dumpster to be located in the fenced area at the Carnegie Maintenance Shop at, 18600 Corral Hollow Road, Tracy, CA 95376, San Joaquin County. The full dumpster will be picked up and empty dumpster left in its place on a "will-call" basis. The contractor will be notified by a State representative when dumpster is full and the contractor will empty the full dumpster within 72 hours. The State estimates that there will be six to eight (6-8) dumpster pickups annually. (52 week period)

6. The contractor will provide weight slips for each dumpster picked up at Carnegie SVRA and documentation of the weight of any recycled material and the description of recycled material on each invoice to be mailed to the Department of Parks and Recreation, Twin Cities District, 13300 White Rock Road, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742-6700.

7. The contractor must provide the State an invoice for the amount charged for each dumpster picked up at Carnegie SVRA. The invoice will be mailed to the Department of Parks and Recreation, Twin Cities District, 13300 White Rock Road, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742-6700.

Scrap Metal Purchase and Removal

Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials necessary to perform scrap metal purchase and removal for the Sierra Conservation Center located at 5100 O'Byrnes Ferry Road, Jamestown, CA 95327.
