Recyclables Collection and Processing Services – Scrap Metal, Aluminum Cans, and Batteries

COLLETON COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA,

Colleton County is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for Recyclables Collection and Processing Services related to Scrap Metal for a period of three (3) years. It is the intent of this solicitation to enter into a contract, which would result in no cost to Colleton County.

This solicitation by Colleton County will result in the selection of an experienced firm to remove and lawfully dispose of scrap metals from the Colleton County Landfill located at 3288 Green Pond Highway in Walterboro, South Carolina. Services shall include, but are not limited to, stockpile scrap metal removal, separation, and disposal; used battery removal and disposal; and aluminum can removal and disposal. Although this contract shall not be considered exclusive in that Colleton County retains the right to obtain similar services from additional Contractors, the CONTRACTOR may be called upon throughout the year to render services to assist Colleton County with special needs and events.

Waste Hauling and Recycling Services Throughout Illinois

State of Illinois

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is for the State of Illinois, Department of Central Management Services, to collect information and data to assist in creating a solicitation with the intention of establishing a contract for waste hauling and recycling services throughout the State. This request for information is not a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation for a contract with the State.

The State currently has various agreements for waste hauling and recycling for approximately 600 facilities managed by the Department of Central Management Services. In addition to these facilities, there are numerous other agencies/boards/commissions with facilities which may also be eligible to participate in a potential contract. The goal of this request for information (RFI) is to determine the services available throughout the state. This information may be used to construct a solicitation to provide these services to the State. We are considering contracting for this service and are seeking information from prospective vendors.

The 23rd Contracting Squadron, Moody AFB GA, intends to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement for the removal of sealed, non-spillable batteries for a period of no longer than 5 years. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED.

The solicitation number for this procurement is FA4830-09-Q-0007 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).

This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-24, Defense Acquisition Circular (DAC) 91-13 and Air Force Acquisition Circular (AFAC) 2008-0128. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS): 562211. This acquisition will be set aside 100% for small business in accordance with FAR 19.502-2(a). The size standard is $12.5M.

Shipping shall either be included in the unit price or included as a separate line item.

Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Request for Quotation (RFQ) should be submitted and shall contain the following information: RFQ NUMBER; TIME SPECIFIED FOR RECEIPT OF OFFERS; NAME, ADDRESS; TELEPHONE NUMBER OF OFFEROR; TERMS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY; ANY DISCOUNT TERMS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS (if applicable). Signed quotes must indicate quantity, unit price and total amount for each item. Offerors shall include a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions and provisions included in the solicitation. Quote shall also contain all other documentation specified herein.

PERIOD OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFERORS: The offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers, unless another time period is specified in an addendum to the solicitation.

LATE OFFERS: Request for Quotations or modification of quotes received at the address specified for the receipt of offers after the exact time specified for receipt of offers WILL NOT be considered.

EVALUATION/AWARD: IAW FAR 52.212.2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, the Government will award a purchase order to the offeror whose price is judged to represent the best value to the government. The General Services Administration has a requirement for Solid Waste Removal and Recycling Services at multiple locations located in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, FL. The Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment (except as otherwise provided) necessary to perform solid waste removal and recycling services. The period of performance will be for a base year from February 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010 and will include four one-year option periods that may extend contract performance. This procurement is unrestricted full and open competition. Estimated contract cost is between $100,000 and $250,000 for the base year. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 562111. The Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) database is a part of the Business partner network, an e-gov initiative.
