Refuse and Recycle Hauling and Removal

California Department of Parks & Recreation

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to haul refuse and recycled material from the Ocotillo Wells SVRA located in Borrego Springs, San Diego County and Heber Dunes SVRA located in Heber, Imperial County. The contractor shall ensure and certify, monthly, that at least 50% of refuse collected is diverted from the landfill and is being recycled. The contractor shall also ensure and certify, monthly, that 100% of the green waste disposed of is diverted from the landfill and is recycled. The term of this contract is twenty (20) months from June 1, 2008, through January 6, 2010.

Trash and Recycling Removal

State of Connecticut, Amity Regional School District #5 (Amity) facilities in Bethany, Orange and Woodbridge

It is the intention of Amity to select a Contractor to provide these services based on factors which include the comprehensiveness and quality of the proposal, the experience of the Contractor, the costs submitted by the Contractor, and factors which, in the opinion of Amity, will lead to efficient, cost effective, and well maintained facilities. Price in and of itself will not necessarily be the deciding factor in awarding the contract.

The contract shall be for the period of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 Contractors are requested to submit an alternate bid along with the base bid for a three (3) year contract. The three (3) year contract shall be for the period of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011. The contract and any renewals will be subject to termination with sixty (60) days notice by either party. The contract may be renewed annually at the discretion of Amity. Renewal contracts will be subject to termination with sixty (60) days notice by either party. A contract in the form attached as Exhibit B will be executed between Amity and Contractor. The contract shall include the request for proposal and attachments, and the Contractor's proposal as finally accepted.

Disposal Of MSW, Bulky Waste, Construction And Demolition Debris

State Recycling Program

State of Arkansas

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is soliciting responses to a Request for Proposal (RFP) from interested firms to provide professional services for the following project at ADEQ: State Recycling Program. This program will begin July 1, 2008.

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) seeks to obtain proposals on a program that will provide two different services to pickup and process recyclables from State offices. One service ("white paper recycling program") will be a continuation of an existing recycling program to collect, remove and market approximately twenty (20) tons per month of sorted white ledger paper, as described Paragraph 1.2.A, "Description of materials", generated in selected State offices in various locations in Little Rock, Arkansas. The second service ("comprehensive recycling program") will be a new comprehensive recycling program to collect, remove and market less than two (2) tons per month of a mixture of recyclables, including at a minimum commingled fiber, metal, glass, and plastic, as described in Paragraph 1.2.B, "Description of materials". It is expected that fiber will be the primary component of the comprehensive program.

Written responses will be considered if received by 12:30 p.m. CT on April 24, 2008. Only hand-delivered or mailed responses will be considered. Responses may NOT be faxed. All respondents will be notified of the results by mail.

Scrap Metal Recycling

University of Florida

The University of Florida’s internal operations typically generate 30-40 tons of recyclable scrap metal each month, on average. There is no guarantee as to the amount of scrap tonnage generated by the University and the total is only given as a guideline for preparing your bid and should not be construed as representing dollars under the resulting contract.

B. Any contract incorporating these specifications is intended to provide for the routine removal of scrap materials, including vehicles, from campus for the purposes of recycling and to secure a reasonable percentage of their market value for the University. Most materials are expected to be delivered as unsorted bulk loads which may contain up to 5% by weight of non-metallic contaminates (e.g., plastic, glass, rubber, and wood components or attachments to metallic items and assemblies).

Shredding Services

The Fort Carson Contracting Office has a requirement for Bi-weekly Document Shred Service for 91 (subject to expansion) secure containers to collect at least 10,000 square feet of material from several different locations throughout six floors of the 650,000 square foot Evans Army Community Hospital, to include outlying/satellite clinics and buildings. The period of performance is a Base + 4 option periods from 1 May 2008 through 30 April 2013. The solicitation number is W911RZ-08-R-0022. The solic itation will be posted on or about 28 March 2008 and closed on or about 11 April 2008. The RFP will be made available electronically on FedBizOpps. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 562119 and the small business size stand ard is $11.5m. The solicitation is Small Business Set-aside.
