Furnish all labor, supervision, apparatus, materials, equipment and supplies necessary or incidental to provide on-site shredding for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines, Jr. Hospital. This service shall require the contractor to furnish locked containers for on-site shredding. Full containers (only) or other containers as specified by the COTR will be collected by the contractor. Contractor will shred paper and provide a certificate of destruction. Pick ups will be scheduled on an as needed basis by the COTR.

Description
The National Archives and Records Administration, NARA, intends to award a contract to acquire secure document destruction and recycle services for records that are ready for destruction, and to sell the resulting paper by-product in order to generate revenue for NARA. All work must be performed under the terms and conditions of the contract and in accordance with the Performance Work Statement, PWS. This requirement is designed to destroy Federal Records according to the prescribed secure document destruction standards outlined in the PWS. The recyclable paper resulting from the destruction services is Government property.
The Government will retain title to the paper until the paper is transferred to a buyer. The contractor will retain risk of loss from the time it picks paper up until the time the paper is transferred to a buyer. No minimum number of trailers per week is guaranteed. NARA will receive revenue from this sale. The sale of the paper for NARA by the contractor shall be performed at no cost.

Description: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5) to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10.
This notice is issued by the Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic, Norfolk, VA to identify sources capable of providing refuse collection, disposal and recycling services to be performed at U. S. Coast Guard Detachment, Sandy Hook, New Jersey for a base year plus nine option years, if exercised by the Government, beginning 1 March 2008. A solicitation will be issued shortly and will be synopsized on the FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at www.fedbizopps.gov.
It is the potential offer's responsibility to monitor this avenue for release of any future solicitation or synopsis.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, material, most equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to perform the service requirements.
Estimated size of containers required to be furnished by the contractor is 4, 8, 10 and 30 cubic yard covered containers plus 28, 40, and 90 gallon covered containers. The applicable NAICS Code is 562111 (Refuse Collection and Disposal Services) with a size standard of $10.5 million.
