Uses of Recovered PVC in Manufactured PVC Flooring
Recycling is not just about how
WRAP wishes to demonstrate the market acceptance, technical viability and economic viability of using recovered Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) in PVC flooring.
Work is required to: source waste PVC materials suitable for manufacturing trials; identify suitable reprocessing processes and technologies; demonstrate the technical viability of incorporating the recovered PVC into fit-for-use PVC flooring; demonstrate the economic viability of the recycling opportunity; and demonstrate market acceptance of the PVC flooring containing recovered PVC
WRAP is looking for organizations or teams of experts who can deliver this demonstration project.

Developing Construction Product Applications using Recycled Gypsum
The WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) plasterboard program has an objective of increasing the volume of plasterboard recycled and developing markets for recycled plasterboard waste by overcoming the barriers on both the supply and demand side.
The aim of this project is to increase the demand for gypsum recycled from plasterboard waste by developing a greater range of construction product end markets. The project will achieve this through a series of trials to prove the concept of using recycled gypsum in a range of construction applications.
The objectives are to: increase the number of products that can be made using recycled gypsum as one of the constituent materials; prove the technical viability of the products trialed; prove the economic viability of using recycled gypsum in place of natural gypsum or alternative substitution products; and increase confidence in the feasibility of using recycled gypsum in these and other construction products.
WRAP has already completed projects trialing the use of recycled gypsum in slope stabilisation, road bases, unfired clay blocks and cement manufacture. These projects have proved the concept of the use of recycled gypsum in a limited range of construction product applications. We now wish to invite tenders for projects to increase the scope for the use of recycled gypsum in this area by undertaking trials in a broader range of construction product and materials.
