Description: Description of work and location: This procurement is for the trash and waste collection & disposal from Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, Big Horn County, Montana. The solicitation will be available at <http://ideasec.nbc.gov> on or about October 06, 2006. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued and telephone requests or fax requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. Individual requests for solicitation packages will NOT be accepted. The Solicitation Number for the Request for Quotation is Q132007A003. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing trash/garbage and some recycled material collection and disposal services in the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, Big Horn County, Montana, which is in the vicinity of Fort Smith, Montana, in accordance with the scope of work, stated pick-up schedule, and disposal of same at a state licensed sanitary landfill, for the Period of November 1, 2006 through October 31, 2007. The NAICS code for this project is 562111 and the small business size standard is $11.5 million. This procurement is 100% Set-aside for Small Business, and the National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged, service disabled veteran owned, and women-owned business enterprises. Offerors are encouraged to use the maps included in the solicitation to conduct their own site visit. Responses will be due no later than October 19, 2006.

Description: Seeking interested sources/sale of scrap metal and used tires. The Kansas Army National Guard (KSARNG), United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) is seeking interested sources for a possible contract(s) to purchase used tires and scrap metal from the KSARNG. NOTE: This is not a solicitation. It is only a request to obtain information from interested sources for a possible solicitation. It is anticipated that the contractual Statement of Work (SOW), may include, but is not limited to the following requirements. Information gathered from interested sources will be taken into consideration in preparation of the final SOW. The vendor will provide personnel and equipment to transport the scrap metal and used tires. All waste tires will be taken to a permitted facility. Vendor will provide enclosed trailer/storage container at both the Ft. Riley and Salina sites to house the scrap metal and used tires. Vendor will be required to pick up filled containers monthly, or as agreed, and replace with empty containers.
