The period of performance is 1 October 2005 through 30 September 2006 with four one-year option periods. This is a Firm Fixed Price type contract. Only one award shall be made.    

 

The NAICS code, SIC code and size standard for this procurement are 562111, 4212, $10, 500,000.00. This procurement is solicited as a commercial item. Pursuant to FAR 19.10, this acquisition is being issue pursuant to the Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988 and a subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Compet itiveness Program. Therefore, this acquisition shall be issued unrestricted.

Description: The Social Security Administration requires the services of contractors to provide Secure Confidential Document Destruction Services located in Richmond, California.    

 

The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, supplies, secured vehicles, materials, supervision, and other related services necessary to provide off-site commercial document destruction services for security waste (administrative papers, classified papers, sensitive documents and white and mixed recycled paper) at the Social Security Administration (SSA), located at 1221 Nevin Avenue, Richmond, California.    

 

SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract with a twelve (12) month base year period and four (4), successive, one-year options, if exercised, following a 45-calendar day phase-in transition period.    

 

All potential contractors and its employees will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to submission of offer and have completed the Annual Representation and Certifications effective January 2005, per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.204-8.    

 

Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted.
