Phoenix-based Republic Services Inc. has appointed Robert Boucher to the position of executive vice president of operations, effective Aug. 24, 2012. He will report to Donald Slager, president and CEO.
Boucher was most recently senior vice president of operations for Republic Services' southern region, covering eight states and Puerto Rico.
Slager says, "We are fortunate to have Bob joining our corporate executive team and taking over the day-to-day responsibilities leading our field organization. Bob is a strong leader with a passion for superior customer service and operational excellence, and we look to him and the management team to continue the standard of excellence established at Republic Services."
Prior to joining Republic Services in 2010, Boucher served as president and CEO of Synagro, a company involved in water and wastewater residuals management.
Replacing Boucher as senior vice presidnt of operations for the southern region will be Jack Perko, who will move from his current post of senior vice president of operations for the Midwestern region.
Justin Boswell has been appointed senior vice president of operations for the Midwestern region. Boswell joins Republic from Stanley Black & Decker.
