Remondis has acquired a 100% stake in the Dutch recycling company Bruins & Kwast. With the acquisition Remondis, based in Germany, says it will be able to strengthen and expand its recycling and disposal business in the Netherlands.
Bruins & Kwast is a manufacturer and supplier of secondary biofuels and raw materials derived mainly from vegetables, wood and high-calorie waste streams. The company had reported annual revenue of €10 million ($10.66 million).
Andreas Krawczik, Remondis Nederland’s managing director, says, "We are very pleased that we are able to continue the tradition of the family business of Bruins & Kwast and their customer-oriented solutions. Remondis is itself a successful family business, which can best be identified with this tradition.
“We will also continue to expand our business by expanding our customer base and acquiring additional company acquisitions. With these steps, we can further improve our services in the interest of all commercial and municipal customers in the Netherlands," he adds.
The recycling and environmental services firm Remondis, with more than 31,000 employees, is represented in 24 European countries, as well as in China, India, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Australia and other countries on four continents through subsidiaries and shares in companies.
