The Washington-based Recycled Materials Association’s (ReMA's) Women in Recycling (WIR) Council has announced the launch of its fifth annual mentorship program. The association says this initiative is designed to foster connection, career development and leadership growth across the recycled materials industry.
The program pairs mentors and mentees based on shared values and goals, offering support and guidance for professionals at every stage of their careers.
“Our industry thrives when we learn from one another,” says Kim Scott, co-chair of the WIR Council. “This program helps connect those who want to share their experience with those looking to grow. It’s a space to be seen, supported and inspired.”
The WIR mentorship program is open to all current ReMA members and will run from Sept. 1, 2025, through March 30, 2026. Mentorship pairs are expected to meet at least five times throughout the program, either virtually or in person. Participants also will join at least one Enliven Session—a one-hour virtual gathering designed to encourage cohort-wide connection and shared learning, ReMA says. At the end of the program, all participants are asked to complete a short feedback survey.
Applications are due Friday, August 15. Mentor and mentee pairings will be announced by August 29.
