The Washington-based Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) is partnering with Recycling Today to launch the first annual 30 Under 30 awards, a program intended to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of young people throughout the recycling industry.

“It is with great excitement that ReMA announces our partnership with the Recycling Today Media Group to elevate the significant, daily accomplishments of our industry’s young leaders through this 30 Under 30 award,” ReMA President Robin Wiener says. “By celebrating our next generation, we affirm our ongoing commitment to highlighting the myriad vibrant and viable career opportunities available in the recycled materials industry.”
The award is open to industry professionals, laborers, technicians and tradespeople, among others, from across the recycling industry. Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of representatives from the Recycling Today Media Group and ReMA Young Executives Council, a body for young recycling industry professionals to connect and engage.
Nominators must be employed by a ReMA member company and are encouraged to submit nominations online here. Nominations are due by July 15, and more information on the nomination process can be found here.
“We’re thrilled to partner with ReMA to honor the leadership and innovative accomplishments of our industry’s youth,” says Jim Keefe, publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group. “The 30 Under 30 awards will showcase these young professionals, laborers, technicians and tradespeople who are driving positive change in the recycling and waste management industry.
“I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate these up-and-coming leaders.”
