The Washington-based Recycled Materials Association’s Paper Stock Industries (PSI) Chapter has launched its 2026 scholarship program, which provides funds to select students who are dependents of employees in recycling divisions of PSI member companies.

PSI scholarship winners can use the funds to pay for tuition and pursue a degree or certification program at any two-year or four-year postsecondary institution or vocational school.

In the past year, PSI awarded $55,000 in scholarships to 21 students, including one $5,000 grand prize scholarship and 20 $2,500 merit scholarships.

PSI member companies that had at least one scholarship student in 2025 include Cellmark, Graphic Packaging, Greif, International Paper, Midwest Fiber Recycling, Padnos, Pioneer Industries International, Pitt Penn Recycling, Pratt Recycling, Smurfit Westrock, Sonoco Recycling and Van Dyk Recycling Solutions.

The application deadline is March 2, 2026, and PSI encourages students to apply well before the deadline in case there are any issues or missing information in the application.
