The Washington-based Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) is launching a virtual event to take place early next year geared toward the paper packaging and recovered paper industries.
The ReMA Future of Fiber Forum is a half-day event scheduled for Jan. 27, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. Created to join the paper packaging and fiber recovery industries, the event will include remarks, breakout discussions and operator-led Q&A sessions to promote understanding of fiber recovery market trends, changes in sortation technologies, developments in packaging and the evolving pressures facing stakeholders.
“The fiber recovery and paper packaging industries are undergoing rapid and significant transformation,” ReMA President Robin Wiener says. “The Future of Fiber Forum will bring together the leaders from across this space to create greater understanding and dialogue of the unique needs of all contributors.
"We will also seek feedback on how to continue to evolve and improve ReMA’s Fiber Recycling Readiness Tool to support the work of product and packaging engineers and designers.”
A tentative agenda includes sessions such as What People Want: Consumer Brands & Packaging Engineers, What Recyclers Need Part 1: Pressure Points in Fiber Recycling and What Recyclers Need Part 2: Ask an Operator.
Attendance is free and ReMA is accepting applications to be part of the event. The association says it will select applicants based on their roles, expertise and ability to contribute fully to the interactive event with an eye toward achieving a balance of industry perspectives among attendees.
Applications are due Nov. 7, and those interested in applying can use this form.
