The Recycled Materials Association (ReMA), headquartered in Washington, has opened nominations for the second annual Robin K. Wiener LAKES Award.
Named in honor of ReMA President Robin Wiener, who received the inaugural award in 2024, and presented by the ReMA Great Lakes Regional affiliated chapters, the award recognizes a ReMA leader who is a role model in their professional and personal communities.
"Our chapters believe it's important to recognize those industry leaders who make indelible marks on their professional and local communities by leading with integrity and sharing their knowledge of the recycled materials industry," says Jen May, ReMA Northern Ohio Chapter 1st vice president. "Take a moment today to nominate someone you feel embodies the principles of leadership, achievement, knowledge, excellence and service professionally and personally."
ReMA has outlined the award’s eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must be employed by an active ReMA member company.
- Applicants must have a minimum of two consecutive years of full-time experience in the recycled materials industry.
- The required submission materials include a completed application form and responses to all essay prompts provided.
Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. ET July 15.
The award is presented annually during the Great Lakes Regional Conference, which is hosted by the ReMA Michigan, Northern Ohio, Pittsburgh, Ohio Valley and Empire Chapters. The 2025 event is planned for Aug. 4-5 at the Erie Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, Pennsylvania, with the award being presented Tuesday, Aug. 5.
