The German Firm Reiling Glas Recycling GmbH & Co. has announced plans to build a new glass recycling facility in KG Osterweddingen. The new location, to cost around 20 million euros, is being built to process and recycle glass.
The location has been chosen due to the proximity of the plant near a number of glass plants and solar companies in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
"Sachsen-Anhalt has become the glass number one location in Germany. The good conditions with regard to raw material availability and infrastructure are likely to have contributed to a great extent. I am delighted that now settles a company with us, which is the glass and recycled. This not only strengthens the industry and thus the economy of Saxony-Anhalt as a whole, it is also an important complement to the existing value chain and also has positive effects on the environment," says Reiner Haseloff, a spokesman for the company.
"In the 50s we started very early with the glass recycling. Today we are the specialists in this field. Since it is a matter of course for us to invest at the site Osterweddingen. Our partnership like the glass industry as an accomplished glass recyclers push us in the future with all the force available to us and to the commitment," says Bernhard Reiling, another Reiling representatives.
The new facility will be built in three phases: the first phase will include enveloping hollow and flat glass to minimize transportation costs; the second phase will include the preparation of hollow glass, flat glass and solar modules, and the third phase will involve preparing photovoltaic modules from the decommissioning of solar systems.
