Newton, North Carolina-based Recycling Equipment Inc. (REI) has announced the addition of three people to its staff, two of whom will work from the Newton main office and the other from REI’s Dallas-Fort Worth location in Texas.
Jim Corrigan has been added as vice president of Southwest operations in REI’s Dallas-Fort Worth office and operations facility. In that role, Corrigan will manage daily operations of REI in Texas and the Southeast.
Corrigan gained more than 20 years of operations management experience as an officer in the United States Army before transitioning to the private sector, where he has worked in operations and logistics management.
R.J. Harper has been added as a project manager in North Carolina. “Be it a single piece of equipment or a complex, multifaceted system, R.J. will work to ensure that all facets of design and delivery are executed in a way that exceeds customer expectations as he monitors the manufacturing process of each project and interacts with sales engineers and customers,” REI says.
Harper previously worked for Alpena, Michigan-based Amos Mfg. Inc., where he managed dealer accounts. He also has experience in sales management, manufacturing, logistics and information technology, according to REI.
Chris Burns has been added as sales and market development manager in North Carolina, where he will strive to cultivate new customer relationships in existing areas of business as well as manage and develop new initiatives in untapped business sectors for REI, according to the firm.
Burns has more than 35 years of experience in packaging and recycling equipment sales and manufacturing, including with North Carolina-based FleetGenius and its predecessor firm Bakers Waste Equipment Inc.
“We are pleased to have Jim, R.J. and Chris join our team at one of the most exciting times in the history of REI,” says Scott Sharp, president of Recycling Equipment Inc. “We’ve made significant investments over the past 10 years assembling a top-tier team, and the addition of these men with the experience and expertise they each bring only adds to our depth and strengthens our ability to achieve our next level of success.”
