Refuse Parts LLC, based in Iberia, Ohio, has introduced its new LowLift hoist, which it says is designed for lower loading, a smaller footprint and faster loading and unloading times than other roll-off hoists on the market.
The LowLift joins the DuaLift and KwikLift also offered by Refuse Parts, making it the company’s third product. According to the company, the LowLift has a hinged tail that serves as a loading platform, allowing easier and closer alignment with the container and a reduced loading height. Additionally, the hoist does not have to be raised to load or unload a container and the lower loading and unloading heights eliminate problems arising from overhead clearance. The company says the LowLift is only fully raised during the dumping process.
“Safety is a common and important issue facing waste haulers today,” says Dick Williams of Refuse Parts. “Our customers expect us to develop products with safety foremost in the design process. The LowLift is the latest in our series of products to do just that, addressing overhead clearance issues, operating footprint, visibility, stability and container alignment.”
According to the company, the LowLift offers 30-second loading and unloading cycle times, which it says are about half the time it takes traditional roll-off hoists. A single cable sheave is attached to the carriage, which travels the entire length of the hoist, powered by a 7-inch telescopic cylinder. Every foot of carriage travel develops 2-feet of cable movement, extending or retracting, causing rapid container movement, according to the manufacturer.
