Lithium-ion battery recycler Redivivus, Colorado Springs, Colorado, plans to open a “first-of-its-kind” operational facility in Los Angeles, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy.
The new facility will serve as the hub for the company's responsible service approach, employing specialized vehicles to collect and transport battery materials to the facility for processing. Redivivus says the implementation of this service not only reinforces its commitment to safe and efficient battery recycling, but also represents a revenue driver to advance the development of its Redi-Shred mobile battery shredding vehicle technology.

“Each incremental step we take is a testament to our commitment to providing first-principles solutions,” Redivivus CEO Erika Guerrero says. “Our developing technology turns industry challenges into widespread opportunities, adding value across the board.”
The company says this operation will be led by Mike Chalapong, who has been appointed as its new chief operating officer. The company adds that Chalapong has a robust background in supply chain management and a proven track record in process optimization and strategic supply chain design.
