Winfield Engineering Ltd officially became the new owner of the Red Rhino brand at the beginning of this month. Red Rhino is now a subsidiary of Winfield Engineering.
Red Rhino Crushers Ltd formally entered Administration back in October 2008. Bryan Eccles purchased all the assets from the Administrator and started a new company, Recycling Product Ltd. trading as Red Rhino Crushers. Eccles was seeking and negotiating for a larger company to take over the Red Rhino brand to ensure the continual manufacture of the crusher range.

Winfield Engineering Ltd, formed in 1968, is a second generation family business with a fabrication engineering background.
Simon Winfield, managing director, said, "My team and I really look forward being part of the manufacturing of such an established, innovative and green product. It is our mission to take the Red Rhino brand to the next level and already have plenty of new ideas which will be implemented right from the start."
Winfield says he appreciates the fact that the construction industry has taken a bit of a ‘body-punch’ but believes that the continual increase in enquiries indicates a boost in consumers recognizing the significant cost reduction savings generated by onsite recycling. "The Red Rhino brand is known all over the world and is a vital necessity in the construction industry which help save masses of money but also help the fight against waste going to landfill – an obviously greener option," said Winfield.
Winfield Engineering will continue trading and manufacturing the Red Rhino range from the existing premises at its Aylesbury, U.K., factory for the time being. An ‘open demo day’ will be announced in the near future where you can visit the factory and meet the new owners.
