The company was formed when Riverside Products, Moline, Ill., a manufacturer of shredder wear parts, and Newell Riverside, an automobile shredder manufacturer based in San Antonio, merged.
“Our products are some of the best in the world, but what really sets us apart is our staff’s depth of engineering expertise,” said Bart Mitchell, president and CEO of Riverside Engineering. “Riverside Engineering will focus on using that knowledge to analyze our customer’s needs and develop recommendations based on their specific situation.”
Mitchell and Randy Brace, executive vice president, are leading the new company’s management team.
Sivyer Steel Corp., the previous owner of the Newell Riverside business unit, said that will has a long-term commitment to continue to supply wear parts of Newell Riverside, and will increase its focus on large, technically complex steel castings. Sivyer, based in Bettendorf, Iowa, is an integrated steel casting foundry.
Riverside Engineering is owned by Facilitator Capital Fund, a private equity fund.Latest from Recycling Today
