Recycling Today Announces Its Inaugural Plastics Recycling Conference

Plastics recycling show to be held in conjunction with popular paper recycling event.

The Recycling Today Media Group, the industry voice in print, online, and through face-to-face events, announced the inaugural Plastics Recycling Conference & Exhibition will be held in Chicago, June 25-27, 2006.

“Market demand for an event focusing on plastics recycling has never been greater,” says Jim Keefe, Recycling Today Media Group Publisher. “With energy and petroleum costs at an all-time high, more and more organizations are looking to the effectiveness of secondary plastics as a significant cost-saving opportunity.”

The new plastics program will be held in conjunction with the popular Paper Recycling Conference & Trade Show, enabling professionals with interests in both markets to most effectively leverage their time by attending sessions across both events. Also of note, the Plastics Recycling Conference & Exhibition will be open two days after NPE 2006: The International Plastics Showcase closes in Chicago, affording plastics professionals the opportunity to attend both events.

The Plastics Recycling Conference program will focus on all facets of recovery, processing and marketing of secondary, or recycled, plastic materials. It will cover not only post-consumer grades but also post-industrial and commercial polymers.
