Very Real Casting, New York, is asking the unlikely question: Does your family, business or organization need help from a television superhero?
The New York-based casting company is looking for recycling businesses and industry experts for some possible air time in a business advisory reality TV program being prepared for the TV Land cable channel. The show will feature an as yet unrevealed "super hero" who will work in tandem with an industry expert.
The company says it is looking for a fun, enthusiastic, charismatic, real-life “cast of characters” in the recycling industry who live or work together but who also “have some issues that get in the way of progress.”
Whether the businesses are suffering from a lack of motivation, questionable organizational skills, too many strong personalities, constant miscommunication or other office politics dilemmas, they could make for ideal candidates for the program.
If such situations sound familiar, “Our superhero is ready to rock your world and help you do a better job of whatever it is that you do,” says Julia Slotnik Sturm of Very Real Casting.
She says the "television icon" will mix tough love and compassion with his expert knowledge of teamwork in order to help businesses or families to communicate more effectively with one another and to get the job done in heroic fashion. He may also draw upon the advice of industry experts.
Companies intrigued by the notion of receiving advice via the reality TV route can contact Very Real Casting via e-mail at julie@very-real-casting.com. Slotnik Sturm says the program will be positive and “family-friendly,” as befits its slot on the TV Land cable channel.
The company is asking interested parties to include their names, contact information and a short description of their situation. Ideal candidates will be in the Northeastern U.S.
According to Slotnik Sturm, Very Real Casting has helped find people for several media projects, including award-winning documentary films, commercials and television series, including ABC’s “Wife Swap,” HBO’s Academy Award-nominated “Lalee’s Kin,” and other projects for Verizon, Showtime, NBC, ESPN, Oxygen, Lifetime and VH-1.
