Recycling Perks partners with Preserve

Chesapeake, Virginia-based Recycling Perks is offering recyclers in communities that provide their residents with Recycling Perks access to Preserve products at a 25 percent discount though www.preserve.eco.

Since 2010, Recycling Perks has been offering residents in the communities it partners with discounts and freebies as rewards for recycling. The company also has been educating residents about what to recycle as well as what not to recycle using games designed to entertain as they educate.

Since 1996, more than 10 years before Recycling Perks started, Waltham, Massachusetts-based Preserve has been transforming recycled materials into products. Its first and most well-known product is the Preserve toothbrush, which is made from recycled No. 5 (polypropylene, PP) plastic, including yogurt cups. Preserve is a Certified B Corp., which means it uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.

“By promoting companies like Preserve to residents, we have the opportunity to close the loop on recycling by buying products that are made from recycled materials in the USA,” says Sandra Hungate, vice president of Recycling Perks.
