The Southeast Regional Recycling Partnership has launched a Business Recycling Program for five towns in Massachusetts: Foxboro, Mansfield, North Attleboro, Plainville, and Wrentham. SERRP is comprised of municipal officials from the five represented towns.
The purpose of the program is to encourage businesses in the region to recycle paper and cardboard.
According to partnership spokesperson Kathi Mirza, "not only is recycling good for the environment, it can also save businesses money."
SERRP has partnered with several local recycling companies to create cost-effective recycling options for businesses in the five-town region.
SERRP called upon the services of the Melton Agency of Foxboro to help put together the campaign, which included posters and decals, as well as brochures that will be sent to local businesses.
"The Melton Agency helped us create promotional materials that clearly explain the benefits of recycling for businesses," explained Mirza.
"Businesses in the area will be receiving brochures in the mail in September," says Mirza. "Information about the program is also available at each of the town offices and through local Chambers of Commerce."
